Cloud Nothings performed at the Grog Shop on April 5 2012. The set was recorded and Mixed by Bad Rackets own James Kananen. Its available for free download if you sign up for the Cloud Nothings email mailing list here where it was featured on Pitchfork Media website April 27, 2012. Cloud Nothings signed to Carpark Records.

Cloud Nothings is a Band from Cleveland Ohio fronted by Dylan Baldi and Basis TJ Duke and guitarist Chris Brown and drummer Jayson Gerycz. They formed in 2009 and have released several records including “Attack on Memory” and “here and Nowhere Else” as well as Life without sound in 2016. and Turning On in 2010 and Formation in 2009. Sadly, none of those records were recorded at bad racket or mixed by James Kananen. We would love to record Cloud Nothings at Bad Racket, but sadly, this live recording is all we really have left of what was once a memory of Cloud Nothings performing an epic set at the Grog Shop in Cleveland Heights, and they tore the roof off that place. everyone was dancing. I was black out drunk, passed out at the controls, with my finger on the faders. But luckily the recorder was still working and the red light was on, and Car Park Records decided to put it out on Vinyl. Each record was a unique piece of art, and they have experimented with a different version on each record. Every record was a different recording of the same songs, either arranged in a different key, or sped up a little bit or a slowed down a little bit which ever we were feeling going on and on until no-one could take it any more and we just shut it off and recorded them live in front of a crowd in Cleveland instead.
