Hey Everybody the New Bad Racket space is ready and open for business. Now located at east 23rd st and Superior, i think you’ll be impressed with the new space!
Recently we had a delivery of 1000 board feet of rough cut dimensional lumber. Some might call us insane, but we knew the reward would outweigh the daunting task at hand. In recent weeks we have been putting up wood lined walls for the authentic ’70s Vibe’. Done with our first load of wood, we’ve lined the guitar room, and one major section of the live room. It’s come along way, but it’s not over yet, we plan on ordering two more shipments the same size to finish out the rest of the studio. If you want to come check this out for yourself, schedule a tour by contacting either Henri or James at 216-501-1204 or 216-905-5714 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
New ‘Live From Bad Racket’ On Its Way
We are very excited to announce we have two confirmed bands for our ‘Live From Bad Racket’ series. Reverse The Curse will be coming up to film a video with us before their first show of their Summer 2014 tour. It will be at The Stone Tavern in Kent, OH, on July 12th. Help support this very talentd band.
Our humble custom speaker cabinet and flight case shop got some huge upgrades, we now have a chop saw, table saw, and band saw that got added to our collection of tools. This is going to make us make more accurate cuts a lot easier. We have a set of 12″ guitar speakers we are going to be using to build a 2×12″ closed back guitar cab. Though what makes this cabinet unique is it will have a divider panel between the drivers helping eliminate any phase issues between the two drivers. Additionally the entire enclosure will be stuffed with rock wool (a high performance acoustic treatment).
Now Booking June & July!
We have some time still open for sessions in June, so if you’re getting ready to record, come check out the space or book a session with us. Contact us via Phone or Email;

The Wall In Progress
On Left: First shipment of wood when we first unloaded it.
On Right: James cutting into the first of our immense stack of wood.
Custom Guitar Cabinet
This is a vintage modeled cabinet, with a custom combo to head conversion. The open back (or infinite baffle) cabinet is loaded with two 12″ celestion drivers on a birch baffle, for a clear cutting tone.
The head is a vintage late 70s Peavey ‘Classic VT’, it was converted from a 2×12 combo with blown speakers to much nicer looking enclosure, and sounds great.
Our new flyers arrived
Our new order of 1000 11″ x 17″s arrived. (Apparently we like to order everything in groupings of 1000) We have been putting them up all over the city, but need help. If you’d be willing to take a small stack and put them wherever you go, that would be much appreciated!
Our New Monitors
We have a second set of monitors now, in addition to our Yamaha’s we also have a set of 8″ Mackie MR8mk2s, they sound great, and give us a second set to make informed decisions about mixes on.
