Free Drum Samples: WAV Pack from Bad Racket

This sample Pack was recorded at Bad Racket and contains samples intended for Rock or almost any type of music. It has samples for Kick drum Snare Drum, Rack Tom and Floor tom from a mahogany drum kit and a birch snare drum.

Recording The Samples

Recently Henri Rapp and Hunter Prunty made some drum samples after changing the heads on our Gretsch Catalina Club Rock Mahogany. Ready for use in Rock, Punk, Folk, Metal, or any other genre of music. We included 4 kick drum microphones, 3 snare drum microphones, 421s on the toms as well as overheads and room tracks for each sample. Use these versatile wav files for most any application in sound design, music production, or try layering a drum in with other samples.

Kit Tuning and Drum Heads

The Kit was tuned to a low punchy sound by Henri Rapp and features a tight dry sound with Remo Coated Emperor drum heads on Toms, and Remo Coated controlled sound on snare top, and Clear Ambassadors on the resonant side of of the snare and toms. Kick drum had the Power Stroke 3 with Ebony Powerstroke on the resonant head.
