Bad Racket is an independent recording studio that specializes in recording live, and aims to align our talents with the needs of the arts and business community in Cleveland, Ohio. Utilizing a natural performance space with two isolation booths for guitar and bass amplifiers as well as acoustic or vocals in a separate vocal booth attached to the live performance space. When building Bad Racket studios, we aimed to create a space where many different sounds can exist in different environments, as a creative vehicle for the recording artist. A bad Racket, we believe in quality over quality, but we let our audio work, music, and commercial reel speak for themselves. When building a relationship with the Cleveland and greater Ohio music community, we have been investing in professional and long lasting relationships with many different artists across a broad spectrum of genres and a diverse portfolio of different projects from film and video, to dialog and ADR for different clients large and small within the music and entertainment business community. We are actively working to enrich and elevate the community with high quality content that brings value to the Cleveland area.

Our Background as a Recording Studio in Cleveland
Cleveland is a city with a diverse group of artists within the community. We are a creative hub to the community and artists everywhere. We have been recording, mixing, and doing our live from Bad Racket music video series since 2009. We have been offering multi-track recording, and live performance, artistic and technical services since our inception in Ohio City. With professional engineers, invested in audio engineering as a career, not just a hobby or a part-time job, we have the the professional ear and experience to make your project the best it can bee. We have recorded numerous full length albums for a diverse set of happy customers. We’ve had the opportunity to work with many noteworthy bands and corporate clients, we’ve become know for our skills as audio engineers and producers. Our local, national, and international clients are provided with an environment where their individual personalities and needs are taken into account.
A Professional Recording Space for the Community to Use
We cut our teeth on the music scene by opening our recording studio in Ohio City, and moved to our current location in 2015. The sound of many classic recordings can be made with our drums, amplifiers, microphones and election of outboard gear. Our unique rooms allow for a larger than life sound, from an over 1000 sq ft live production facility, which can fit an orchestra or large group comfortably, and maintain isolation between drums, bass, guitar, and acoustic instruments with 3 different studios to meet your needs. We have 13ft ceilings and we are one of the largest recording rooms in Ohio. Either isolation booth is large enough for drums, or other instruments to be isolated from other musicians or sound sources.

Our control room where we do mixing, and mastering is acoustically treated and large enough to accommodate the whole band comfortably. You will enjoy mixing professionally from our couch and comfy chairs with professional studio HVAC and free wi-fi and bottled water. Feel free to bring your laptop or snacks.
Our facility is an all purpose facility with experience in projects large and small. Our team will cater to your individual needs whether it is commercial composition, arrangement, or audio engineering a recording collaboration. We are also a mastering facility, and have relationships with many different mastering facilities in Ohio.

While many of our customers bring their own amplifiers, drums, or instruments, we can help fill in the gaps, with our professional recording gear. With over 50 microphones from around the world such as Neumann, AKG, Audio Techinica, Sennheiser, Shure, and many more, our engineers have the perfect mic for almost any application.
Recording Sessions in our Studio
Studio sessions are available at $50/hr or $400/day, and include professional engineer and assistant. All the studio, and equipment is available to you to use, so you know your final product will be the best quality possible. Mixing and mastering rates also start at $50/song. With our business pushing a decade, we have raised prices very little over time, while we have improved quality and tightened our mixing and listening abilities over time.
