The first question you may want to ask, is am I even ready to record? Unless you’re trying to blow through a bunch of money and take a lot of time in the studio writing and producing, make sure you’re not wasting a ton of time writing your song and adding and changing a ton of parts just because you haven’t throughly planned out each composition. There isn’t anything stopping you more than a little forethought and planning to making your next great song. If you can perform it into a cell phone, you can perform it into a very expensive microphone. Which leads us to our next section equipment!
Recording Equipment
We have a lot of recording equipment and musical instruments at the studio but what do you actually need?
So what do you actually need to record? Besides decent songs? There’s so much stuff including instruments, amps, room acoustics, microphones, tape-machines, computers, and a million plugins and cool seemingly magical devices. But having Jimi Hendrix’s guitar doesn’t make you Jimi Hendrix. So what do you actually need? Alright here it comes.
Professional Audio Engineer or Producer
